Hosting 370 African students in 2015-2016 academic year, Ondokuz Mayıs University has become an institution favoured by African students in education. Ambassadors of African countries, Ministers of Education, Education Attaches, Embassy Attaches, businessmen, TÜSİAD, MÜSİAD, STSO, YTB and academicians participated in the workshops on “Education and Business Opportunities in Turkey and Africa” hosted by Ondokuz Mayıs University for two years to provide opportunities for African students not only in the field of education but also business.

African delegates discussed in detail the problems of African students and provided information on scholarship opportunities.

Participants brought up the idea to create opportunities to bring together international students not only with foreign representatives but also the city. It became important to traditionalize such workshops to provide better services to international students.
