Cultural awareness, multiculturalism and cultural heritage were taught to the local and international students taking the elective “Culture and Language” course given at the Faculty of Education and, considering the fact that “culture” is a social phenomenon, the young generations were informed that they pass on to the next generation what they have learned from the previous generations together with their own contribution to their own culture and it was also emphasized that their culture is the legacy of their own communities. The students were tasked by Prof. Dr. Nalan KIZILTAN and Prof Dr. Rıfat GÜNDAY with the project entitled “We Are Cultural Ambassadors” in which they were asked to prepare presentations on countries which should also include tangible and intangible constituents of culture.
