A colorful program was held at Yaylageriş Primary and Secondary School in Tekkeköy district to celebrate Nevruz, the spring festival symbolizing brotherhood and solidarity.
The program was attended by Tekkeköy District Governor Enver Hakan Zengince and District National Education Director Mustafa Uzunlar, as well as other protocol members, students, teachers, and parents.
One of the most striking aspects of the program was the large participation of international students studying at Ondokuz Mayıs University. Students from various regions of the Turkic world, including Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Southern Turkestan, and Eastern Turkestan, presented a cultural feast with the stands they set up in the event area.
International students gave presentations introducing the historical and cultural values unique to their countries, while adding color to the program with regional dishes and traditional dance performances. Participants had the opportunity to get to know the common cultural heritage of the Turkic world up close.
The program, realized through the enthusiasm of the children and the dedicated efforts of the teachers, was highly appreciated by the participants. Officials thanked all the administrators, teachers, and students who contributed, and expressed their hope that the spirit of unity, togetherness, and brotherhood brought by Nevruz would endure.
