The Turkic World united in shared sentiment at an event organized as part of the "Local Meets Global" project, conducted in collaboration with the Ondokuz Mayıs University International Student Coordination Office and the Salıpazarı District Governorship.

Thirty students from various countries of the Turkic World, currently studying at Ondokuz Mayıs University, took part in the event, which was attended by District Governor Ahmet Faruk Beyazıt, Mayor Refaettin Karaca, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Esen Genç, Deputy Head of the Ondokuz Mayıs University International Relations Office.

Local residents showed great interest in the stands and country publicity activities set up in the town square by students from Azerbaijan, East Turkistan, South Turkistan, Iraqi Turkmeneli, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tatarstan, and Turkmenistan.
