"Iraq Promotion Day" was held by the Samsun Iraqi Student Association at Ondokuz Mayıs University, where the natural beauties of Iraq and the history of civilization were explained.

The event, which attracted great attention from students at Atatürk Cultural Center, started with the recitation of the Holy Quran. To the event; OMU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Cengiz Batuk, Head of International Relations Unit Prof. Dr. Mustafa Said Kurşunoğlu, Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Faculty Member Mehmet Tütüncü, Samsun Iraqi Students Association President Omar Raad, OMU International Community President Muatafa Al-Doorı, academics and international students attended.

In the event, where the theater was staged to promote the culture and art of Iraq, poetry was read and songs were also sung by the artists.

The event ended with a video screening of Iraq, which was highly appreciated.
