Those who died in the "Bloody January" massacre, which took place in Azerbaijan on January 20, 1990, as a result of the Soviet forces' entry into Baku, by the Azerbaijani Students' Association of our University's International Relations Unit, was commemorated in a program held in its 32nd year.

 In the program, which also includes an exhibition of photographs of the events and martyrs on January 20; An informational speech and a video presentation were made regarding the massacre that took place on January 20.

The commemoration ceremony held at OMÜ Atatürk Congress and Culture Center was attended by OMÜ International Relations Unit President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Said Kurşunoğlu, Chief Secretary of the Azerbaijan Embassy Elxan Zeynalov, OMU Education Faculty Lecturer Prof. Dr. Azer Gasımzade, Azerbaijani Students Representative Mikayıl Müşvik, academicians and students attended.

The program ended with the Azerbaijan Music Ensemble singing songs about the meaning and importance of the day.
