On the 30th anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan, our unit organized a celebration event with Turkmen students studying at our university in compliance with the pandemic conditions. Samsun deputy Bedri Yaşar, Rector Prof. Dr. Yavuz Ünal, Ishanguly Amanlyev, ambassador of Turkmenistan to Turkey, Necattin Demirtaş mayor of İlkadım Samsun, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Cengiz Batuk and Prof. Dr. Fehmi Yazıcı, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Gençcelep,secretary general, Doç. Dr. Mustafa Said Kurşunoğlu, head of the unit of international relations, academicians , and students attended the event that was held in the Blue Hall of Atatürk Congress and Culture Center in cooperation with the Turkmenistan Embassy. The event which was started with the opening of an exhibition featuring photographs reflecting the nature, culture and history of Turkmenistan and items indigenous to Turkmenistan, continued with the opening speeches after the national anthems of the two states were sung.
